Portland Elopement / Courtney & Baxter

Courtney and Baxter share an amazing love story. They've been together since high school for a total of 7 years now. The way they decided to get married is so untraditional and so unique to them and who they are. The couple actually married in a courthouse with just them two back in Texas before traveling to Oregon to have an intimate exchange of vows in a mythical forrest setting. I absolutely LOVE the way they decided to make this experience their own by keeping the focus on each other + celebrating their new marriage with a reception filled with their loved ones when they return home to Texas.

Let me just be clear - this is my first time photographing an elopement/wedding. And in saying that, I just want to thank Courtney and Baxter for trusting me & Spencer and also believing in our skills + abilities to capture such an important event in their life. This experience really just goes to show that all wedding photographers start out their career with that one special couple who puts their faith in them. And in my case, the Mcdonalds were the wonderful people to do that for me.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again...Spencer and I walked away from this day so grateful to have met this beautiful couple, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better day running around in the Gorge with our two new friends

Please enjoy these highlights from their day!
